Household Chemical Waste

New E-Waste & Chemical Waste Drop Off Facility

Thanks to funding from Green Industries SA, Campbelltown Council now has a FREE self-service household TV, computer and chemical drop off facility at:

Campbelltown Works Depot, 6 Newton Road, Campbelltown

Open Monday to Friday 8am – 3pm.

This facility is a self-service, user friendly way to drop off unwanted household chemicals and electronic goods (TV’s and computer items).

Televisions, computers and other electronic equipment contain valuable non-renewable resources, including gold and other precious metals, some of which are quite rare. They also contain hazardous materials including lead, bromine, mercury and zinc that are harmful to humans and to the environment. By recycling these products we can not only recover useful material, but also reduce health and environmental risks.

Before heading down, check to see if you really need to dispose of the item at the facility. Can someone else use it? Can it be re-purposed? Items such as household cleaners or chlorine are best put to their original intended purpose.
