Office for Recreation and Sport 

  • The State Government offers information for clubs, associations, players, coaches, officials, volunteers, schools and other groups, as well as a link to the STARCLUB club development program.


  • A free volunteer management web tool for sport and recreation clubs and associations, developed by the Office for Recreation and Sport. It supports the ‘Volunteers Valued’ section of the STARCLUB program and assists clubs to more easily and successfully find and manage their volunteers. Take the short quiz, create an action plan, tick and flick ideas to it, log in to save and share your quiz and action plan with other committee/club members, download the customisable templates and get ready to FIND, KEEP and BACK your volunteers.

Sports Community

  • “Helping grassroots clubs succeed” – Sports Community is a national service provider that was launched in 2013. It is dedicated to helping volunteers and grassroots sports clubs and on this website you will find information on a wide range of topics including fundraising, grants, club administration, multimedia, training, a supplier directory, and other resources e.g. tips on attracting sponsors, increasing participation, running events, and position descriptions for committee members.

Sporting Schools

  • Sporting Schools brings together schools and sports to help get Aussie children active in their local communities. Sporting Schools is open to all Australian primary schools, and with quality programmes developed by over 30 national sporting organisations, it offers a fun and supportive environment for children and coaches.

Clubs SA

  • Clubs SA is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1919 to represent the interests of licensed clubs in South Australia. Licensed clubs are those that want to supply liquor to members and the general public and are not-for-profit organisations. Clubs SA major platform has been to effect changes to government legislation to enable Clubs to become more self sufficient over the long term, and to also provide a recognised infrastructure for the active support and promotion of sport and community events across the Club industry.

Good Sports Program

  • Good Sports is a three-step program for sporting clubs. We provide resources and training to help clubs tackle alcohol-related issues as well as mental health, smoking and obesity. We give clubs the framework they need to turn good intentions about creating  healthy settings into real results.
